The roadmap out of Lockdown had clear dates for hospitality venues, shops and gyms but was noticeably quiet on the date teams should return to the office.

The current advice on working from home is that everyone who can reasonably work from home should continue to do so.

Boris Johnson

The guidance from the government in the recent announcement implied that those who can work from home should not return to the office until the 21st of June at the earliest.

However from the 17th of May, hospitality venues re-open

If you are sick of working from home

Indoor hospitality venues open on the 17th of May and it is possible to go and work from these venues (the rule of 6 or 2 households will apply).

We have 1000s of coworking spaces on Tally Workspace which are great to work from. You can search for venues by location, as well as facilities (e.g. printer) and requirements (e.g. dog friendly). All of our hospitality venues also include lovely perks such as unlimited coffee... perfect for a productive day!

If you are desperate to meet your team

The rule of 6 or 2 households will be in place in hospitality venues from the 17th of May. So if you want to meet up with your colleague or client then you can search and book hot-desks or a meeting room for you both here

Should you be looking for an office lease from June?

There are lots of great deals currently on the market for office leases at the moment - but full-time offices are expensive and don't necessarily reflect how your team want to work.

At Tally Workspace, we can support you if you are looking to downsize, get a part-time office or go fully remote.

Unlike other office brokers, we don't charge extortionate fees - complete our office finder form and we will come back to you with suitable options.

At Tally Workspace we believe the future is hybrid - by that, we mean teams still meet up and come together but that teams are also provided with remote work options outside of the home. We believe providing remote work options outside the home is crucial for an equal workplace - our survey showed 51% of people don't have a suitable space to work from home.

If you are still not sure what option is the best for you book a short call we can help you to find the best solution for your team.
